Edinburgh Airport is a small but very busy airport. In fact, it is the sixth busiest airport in the UK.
Most European airlines fly into Edinburgh and some from other continents do too. However, in many instances, passengers will have to make a connection in London (Heathrow) before arriving in Edinburgh. Luckily, the flight from London is very short and extremely regular.
Edinburgh airport is located in the Ingliston area of the city, which is only around six miles outside the city centre. The airport is easy to negotiate and immigration checks are usually quick (although there may be a short queue). The ‘pick up’ area is just outside the main door. We can arrange an airport collection for you or provide directions on how to get to your accommodation via taxi, tram or bus.
